‘American Horror Story: Coven’: New poster has us on pins and needles
This latest one basically looks like the most horrible form of acupuncture possible. We have a woman completely decorated with long needles, also lying on a hardwood floor. We really cannot imagine how this is anything other than unbearably uncomfortable. We feel bad for the poor woman who had to take this photo, even if the needles were added in after the fact. Why? She had to know that this was coming. Voodoo is creepy enough, or at least we think so, when it is done on little dolls, let alone real people.
When it comes to matching the show thematically, though, it is pretty clear that the poster does a pretty good job of that. Witches and witchcraft are going to remain an integral theme of just about everything that we see throughout the coming several months, and especially when you remember that the series is set in New Orleans, it makes this all the more important.
Now, will voodoo actually be something used often in the story, or is more of a gimmick to get us to actually watch the show? That is a little unclear, given that there were some elements of the “Asylum” season (see: Creepy people walking about) that did not make much of an impact on the actual show despite being frequently used in the promos.
Overall, what do you think about this poster? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! Meanwhile, click here if you want to take a look at the first promo for the show containing actual new footage.
