‘House of Lies’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Happy Endings’ alum Eliza Coupe checks in

The latest -You can officially file this one under news that we are very “happy” about. Eliza Coupe, best known for her role on the loved-but-canceled “Happy Endings,” has signed on for the third season of “House of Lies.” The network confirmed the news on Thursday, and said that the actress would play the part of Marissa, the head of an internet company who has a wild streak, and also is set to earn a fortune thanks to her wealthy family. (Even on the surface, this role sees perfect for Coupe to play.)

This casting means that Coupe is going to be in for a pretty busy fall. She will recur on this show, and also appear in multiple episodes of CBS’ new sitcom “The Millers” in the role of the ex-wife to Will Arnett’s character. She’s an easy person to be a fan of, mostly because we first discovered her as the best part of the final seasons of “Scrubs,” which were otherwise awkward and unnecessary.

As for “House of Lies,” all we can really hope for when it comes to Coupe on the upcoming season is that she does a very good job delivering the entertainment to what can at times be a pretty dry show. We don’t know if there is anything on TV that we want to like more than this given our constant adoration of Don Cheadle, but we often don’t find it funny enough save for that episode last season that featured Matt Damon.

Overall, what do you think about this news? Be sure to share below! Take a look here if you want to see the first “teaser” for the new “House of Lies” season, which will premiere on Showtime come this January.
