‘America’s Got Talent’ results: Did Kenichi Ebina, Collins Key, and KriStef Brothers make finale?

America's Got Talent -

On tonight’s “America’s Got Talent,” we had quite a few interesting things take place: We had Tom Cotter take on the terrible job of sideline reporter, product placement up the wazoo, and the Olate Dogs pretty much doing the exact same act that they did multiple times on the show last year. It’s still charming … but they were more or less the same tricks (amazing as they are). Terry Fator was also back, and as brilliant as ever. We’re amazed that he even wants to gets off of the pile of money that he is lying on like Huell in “Breaking Bad” to appear here.

Group One – Kenichi Ebina and Chicago Boyz

What was this “in no particular order” bit? We thought at one moment that this was a sign that both were getting through. But, there was no fakeout here at all. Kenichi is deservedly on to the finale, where he should be one of the favorites to take home the prize in the end.

Group Two – Cami Bradley and Innovative Force

The ladies of this gymnastics act did a great job getting further than we initially thought that they would, but given that Cami performed last on the show, this one was a pretty obvious decision.

Group Three – KriStef Brothers and Taylor Williamson

This was the first time tonight we felt we would be losing one of our two favorites, and it also signaled to us that America’s love for singers was going to prevail on a certain level over us. But Taylor got through? Seeing the Brothers leave was somewhat of a shock.

Group Four – Branden James and Forte

It’s the battle of the opera singers! This was not really that climactic, since we all knew that Forte was going to be the one who advanced. This did leave us with just four acts, and what could be a pretty interesting showdown. (Personally, Catapult Entertainment is the only one we think worthy.)

Group Five – Jimmy Rose and D’Angelo and Amanda

Pretty much, this one was pretty obvious: Jimmy is someone who is popular with America, and this was enough to get him through.

Group Six – Catapult Entertainment and Collins Key

Now, we get to the result that really has us insane. Seriously? Collins advances over Catapult? He’s not anywhere near the best magician the show has ever had, but he is one now with a shot of actually winning the competition. We don’t really get it, but we’re not a fifteen-year old girl.
