‘The Vampire Diaries’ video: Fun via Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and more

When you think of “The Vampire Diaries” by and large, we have a hard time imagining that laughter is probably one of the first things that comes to your mind. This is a pretty serious show, and one that often deals with serious consequences like death, heartache, family, and trying to make sense of what it really means to be alive. That’s all a lot to swallow, especially when you’re on set and forced to confront it almost all of the time.

So with this in mind, why not focus a little bit here on the lighter side of things? That is not only what we are doing, but we’re able to do it courtesy of the actors focusing on the same exact thing. In the video below from the season 4 DVD, you can check out the likes of Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and more of the cast having the occasional goof on set. It happens to the best of us, and what we’re most impressed at is how some of these people react after the goofs. Our personal favorite? Hearing Dobrev’s impersonation of Borat.

The cast of “The Vampire Diaries” does something that is especially impressive when you really think about what they are forced to do on a regular basis. They are having to arrive to set every day, learn new lines, and then rinse and repeat. When you work these sort of long hours, everything can bleed together and it can really be hard to remember some of your lines at all.
