‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 3, episode 8 preview: A risky plan for Ashley Benson’s Hanna

Did Hanna do it?

On Tuesday’s “Pretty Little Liars” episode, we’re going to see something that is genuinely shocking, and we say that about a show that tends to excel time and time again when it comes to finding new and creative ways to shock us. We are effectively going to have an opportunity to see Hanna actually try to take ownership of a crime that neither she nor her mother Ashley actually committed: The murder of Detective Wilden.

Ashley Benson’s character believes that she knows where the pieces are going to fall when it comes to her mother’s case, which means a guilty verdict and quite a few terrible consequences as a result. She’s also aware that her mother has no intention of claiming self-defense, since she doesn’t wants to go to jail for a crime she did not commit. Therefore, we have a Liar willing to pull one of the biggest lies ever, and even including her longtime frenemy Mona in on the plan.

You see, Mona’s the perfect expert in the world of lying: She’s exceptionally creepy for one, and she managed to go an extremely long time making Hanna and her friends believe that she was on their side and one of them, when in reality, she was actually “A.” If she can get her brand of crazy to rub off on Hanna, she could manage to actually pull this off; that is, if you’re actually happy about pulling off something that will get you a hefty amount of airtime.

The only possibly-good outcome that could happen as a result of this? Ashley could confess too, and then you have an event that causes most of the jury to start to pound their heads against the wall in confusion.

There are some other major movements on Tuesday’s episode, especially when it comes to Aria. Want to read more? Allow the link here to be your guide!
