‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Jensen Ackles on Jim Beaver, Bobby possibilities

Even though it has been more or less confirmed at this point that Jim Beaver is going to return to “Supernatural” for some more work as Bobby for season 9, at least a few members of the cast and crew are still playing it smart and keeping cautious for the time being. Just for some more evidence of what we’re talking about here, you don’t have to look any further than Jensen Ackles’ recent response to the subject of Bobby at Comic-Con.

In a new interview published by TV Fanatic, Ackles is asked about some of the rumors that Bobby is now back on earth thanks to the angels falling. The actor’s response is first that rumors like this are why he’s not on Twitter, but then says that he would of course love to have Jim back if the stars were to align:

“He’s a fan favorite and a set favorite. Jim’s great. He’s going to do great wherever he goes … There’s a laundry list of characters and actors that we’d love to come back to the show, but it ultimately has to fit the [story].”

A few things that we take from this:

1. How often do you think Jensen is harassed about not having Twitter?

2. If Bobby is back on earth, how long will it take Sam and Dean to find them?

3. Are there possibly some other familiar angels out there that maybe the Winchesters don’t know about? If so, it would be interesting to see how many more returning guest stars could fit into this season.
