‘The Originals’ spoilers: Joseph Morgan talks filming first episode

We’ve seen countless tweets and spoilers over the past few weeks about the return of “The Vampire Diaries,” so isn’t it time to also give “The Originals” a little bit of love? Largely because Joseph Morgan’s Klaus is front and center, we have a pretty hefty amount of confidence that this is going to meet all of the expectations that we have a for a worthy spin-off to a show that has already become an international sensation (and topic of an intense Twitter fandom).

It is this social-media site that we’re looking to in order to provide one of the messages about the show’s first day, and it only makes sense that it would come from a man in Morgan whose character is the sole reason that this show even exists:

“About to go to set, first day shooting #TheOriginals Thank you to everybody who believed this could happen #StayOriginal”

For those of you curious about whether or not some of your other favorites from the world of the show are on set, some are. However, don’t expect to see Rebekah (Claire Holt) straight away here, if for no other reason than that she has some unfinished business with Matt that involved the two traveling all over the world (Does being an original come with a hefty bank account?) Something is going to bring her to New Orleans to be around her brothers, and we’re not quite sure what given that a nice guy like Matt seems like a much better option than a vampire who has succeeded in daggering you a couple of times before, and will probably try to do so again.
