‘The Originals’ spoilers: How are Joseph Morgan and company shaking things up?

The Originals

What do “Supernatural” and “The Originals” have in common? In addition to both being series airing on The CW, they are also each utilizing the popular technique of filming episodes in a slightly different order than how they were exactly filmed.

This news was confirmed in a new post on the show writers’ official Twitter page, with the humorous explanation being that they “like to keep everyone on their toes.” In reality, the real reason may be thanks to some sort of location availability, or a guest star that they want or need to accommodate.

Nonetheless, this won’t effect what we see or notice when “The Originals” premieres, as these actors and crew members are professionals, and thus know how to handle going back and forth across different timelines. Some early work on episode 2 kicks off a little later this week, as Joseph Morgan just finished filming a movie in New Orleans and will now be flying off to Atlanta, otherwise known as the fake New Orleans for this show, where he and the other actors are going to be for the next several months. Everyone, from Claire Holt to Daniel Gillies to Phoebe Tonkin, is going to have much more work than they ever did on “The Vampire Diaries” proper.

“The Originals” will premiere on The CW on Tuesday, October 15, where it will be forced to go up against such heavy competition as “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD,” “NCIS,” and also the Tuesday edition of “The Voice.” Our message to it here is pretty simple: Good luck trying to stand out.
