‘Bates Motel’ season 2 spoilers: What characters are we going to see soon?

While the wait for more “Bates Motel” may be a long one, we’d still like to do our part in helping to ease the pain. With that in mind, why not check out some of the latest casting intel about the show’s upcoming second season?

According to a new report from SpoilerTV, we are going to have an opportunity to meet Caleb pretty early on in the season. This character is Norma Bates’ estranged brother, and someone who has been teased as a member of the cast for quite a long time now. We know from last season that Norma’s brother had a very inappropriate relationship with her while growing up and that she’s tried to move on, but it’s clear that she longs for love and family acceptance because of it.

In addition to that, the show is also casting a woman named Christie, who is going to become something for Norma that she really has never had before: A female friend. Will this help her to deal with whatever sort of trouble that Norman is getting himself into? We can only hope so, just as we also hope that Norman’s presence does not end up driving her away in the long run.  (Then again, it’s hard to be too optimistic here … we know already how this story for Norma is going to end at the end of the day.)

There is no premiere date yet for the second season, but it is pretty fair to say that you can expect new episodes to launch on A&E around the same exact time as they did earlier this spring.
