Unfortunately, we do have to begin here with a slice of regrettable news that many out there may not want to hear: Like with the rest of the Chicago franchise, there is nothing coming insofar as new episodes go next week. We are going to be stuck waiting until April 22 to see what is next, but there is at least a silver lining worth sharing at present: We are almost to the final break in the action this season! So what is the story of Chicago PD season 13 episode 18 going to look like? Well, there of course a number of narrative threads that we are ready to see explored, but early indications are that this one will be somewhat Atwater-focused. That makes sense given that there have been some spotlights on him already this season and beyond that, there are more loose ends to tie up here.

Also, remember that if you are the producers, you want to tell character-specific stories for the next few installments and then after that, have a real chance to tell something about all of Intelligence. That could create a huge cliffhanger ahead of season 14, which we are happy to know is officially coming already. Isn’t it nice to not have to worry about that at present?
