Foundation season 4 premiere date: An April 2026 update

At some point between now and the end of April, could we learn something more about Foundation season 4 over at Apple TV?

Before we say too much more here, we should just start with the following: Of course it would be great to learn more! Why wouldn’t it be? This is a show that is as big and ambitious as any on television, and the third season in particular took huge swings and told the Mule story in the way that was layered and epic. It is easily one of the best sci-fi projects Apple has going, let alone all of TV.

So when it comes to looking at the future of Foundation season 4 at present, let’s just share the good news and bad. First and foremost, it is worth noting that production is currently underway, so there is a lot of work actively being done to get these episodes out to people as soon as humanly possible.

Now with that said, we are not going to hear anything more in April. Heck, we’re not sure that we’re going to be hearing more in terms of specifics at all until next year. Based on how long post-production time takes for a show like this, we would be stunned in the event you have a chance to see it before we get around to the spring of next year.

Is season 4 going to be the final one?

We sure hope not, as there is clearly a lot more material out there to be told! Yet, this is going to be one of those situations that will be dictated largely by viewership. This is a series as big and expensive as you are ever going to find. It has, as a result of that, a higher threshold to meet than a number of other series.
