Your Friends & Neighbors season 2 episode 2: Different dangers

We are now one episode into Your Friends & Neighbors season 2 and from here on out, one thing feels pretty clear: There will be chaos. So just what will it look like?
To many people out there at this point, it is probably clear that one of the major changes to this season is the presence of James Marsden as Ashe, a newcomer to the community that seems to have a fascination towards danger. He is drawn to Sam from the start just because she’s different; meanwhile, we’ve seen from trailers that he will absolutely be interested in what Coop is up to. He’s going to have some chances to sell him out but at the same time, he may not do it.

Speaking about some of the arcs to come to TV Insider, here is at least some of what showrunner Jonathan Tropper ultimately had to say:
“We were very happy with what we did in Season 1, but I realized there’s a strong danger we’d be repeating ourselves. And so I think the real pressure we put on ourselves was how to kind of approach it as a new show and make sure we didn’t do the same show we did for Season 1 … The danger is much greater, and the [Jon Hamm – James Marsden] chemistry is just fantastic.”
In the end, let’s just say that we are eager to see where things ebb and flow here, mostly because the best thing that Your Friends & Neighbors can really do here is strive to be as unpredictable as possible. While we don’t necessarily want to see Coop arrested (the show would be rather boring if that happened), there are still ways to make him think that being locked up is a better alternative.
