Is Saturday Night Live new tonight on NBC? We know that as of late, the sketch show has been in repeats … but is that trend about to end?

Well, from where we sit, there is no real reason to delay when it comes to presenting good news: You are going to be seeing the show back in a matter of hours! Jack Black is going to be coming back for his fifth time, which does put him in elite company with a number of other legends. His particular path to getting in the five-timers’ club is a little odd, mostly because he had three hosting gigs in the early 2000’s, a gap of about twenty years, and then an episode just a season ago.

So will there be a moment where the actor gets his famed jacket? We tend to think so, and we really do hope that a few other five-timers show up to present it to him. There are obviously a lot of people to choose from and yet, we’ve always felt that Black never really got to sit at the cool-kids table. That has always been a little bit of the appeal. He is under the radar in a way that can be exciting in a counter-culture sort of way.

To us personally, we think one of the best people to show in a cameo for him is Dwayne Johnson, who joined the club years ago and he has a history of working with at this point. We know that it may seem silly to spend this much time talking about the five-timers’ club, but we legitimately think it is important and want Black to have his moment!
