Pluribus season 2 premiere date: An April 2026 update

With us now another month removed from the end of Pluribus season 1 over at Apple TV, why not go ahead and offer another check-in when it comes to the future?
As per usual, of course there is a good bit to discuss here on the future of the Rhea Seehorn series, but it is worth beginning by noting that creator Vince Gilligan and the rest of his team are doing their best to be cautious. The good news is that there is clearly going to be another chapter of the show down the road, but the general consensus is that there is no rush behind the scenes. Heck, everyone is being careful to even share filming dates at this point! We are not going to get more news this month on a launch date and at this point, we’d be honestly impressed if there is more to share come April next year.

Really, the best-case scenario here is that the show returns in late 2027 and if you are wondering why this series in particular takes so long, let’s just say that it is tied to the following: The lore. The creative team wants their world to make sense, and that is tricky when dealing with a group like the Joined. We do recognize that beyond that, filming a show like this takes time, and that is without getting into anything when it comes to post-production. This is, in the end, just a project that requires a number of different boxes to be checked before Apple can consider it bringing back.
Later this year, we hope that there is a better chance of larger updates; getting some of those will of course make us more optimistic about the show hitting a potential launch date.
