One Piece season 3 premiere date: An April 2026 update

With us now moving further into the month of April, can you expect more great news on the horizon when it comes to One Piece season 3?
Well, the first thing we can share here is really just the awesome news that Netflix has confirmed so far. First and foremost, we’re going to be seeing the anime / manga adaptation back for another chapter; not only that, but filming has been happening for a while now! All current estimations suggest that it will remain ongoing until we get around to late spring / early summer. After that, post-production can begin in earnest.

As awesome as all of that is to discuss at this point, it does also serve as yet another reminder that even if there should be less of a wait this time than what we saw between One Piece seasons 1 and 2, it is still going to be awhile. After all, we would be surprised if you saw season 3 at this point next year just because of all the visual effects required to bring it to life. A more reasonable estimate is that it comes back next summer, but do not be surprised if by this point next year, a season 4 has already been greenlit. Netflix does seem to understand at this point that the real key to their success is making sure that they stay ahead of the game with their big hits; it is especially important here given that there is so much story still to adapt.
So for this month, we would say not to expect a lot of major updates shared with the public. Yet, we know that the third season will cover a lot of the Alabasta arc, one that is going to cause a lot of these characters to spend a hefty amount of time in the desert.
What are you most eager to see moving into One Piece season 3 when it arrives?
Go ahead and let us know right now in the attached comments! Once you do just that, remember to come back here for other updates.
