Survivor 50 episode 6: Should Colby, Genevieve, & Kamilla play again?
If there is anything that feels clear in Survivor 50 at this point, it’s that producers can’t stop when it comes to self-inflicted wounds.
After all, remember that this is a season that already featured a lengthy Zac Brown cameo that nobody asked for, Jeff Probst rapping for some reason, and Tiffany getting barely even screen time until this week’s episode. Then, we had the Blood Moon twist that was much-hyped, but honestly produced three lackluster Tribal Council results that felt predictable. You got emotion out of Colby’s departure, but Kamilla was the only true blindside and the other two were sitting ducks. We tend to think that if there was a big 15-person Tribal, we probably would have seen a very different result.

So given that the three vote-outs all barely got a chance to play this week and were screwed by this twist, is there a case for them all to return? Honestly, yes.
Colby – Obviously, he is an icon. Is he the most strategic player? No, but he is a great narrator and we do think the game is better with all sorts of people on it. We’d rather see him go out in a way other than him having no opportunity to vote — let alone being injured.
Genevieve – The moment she got on that small tribe with Aubry, Christian, and Devens, it was curtains for her and she had no real chance. She found multiple idols this season, but did not end up on a tribe with either recipient after the merge! The twists really hit her at just about every point and she is a good player.
Kamilla – Honestly, she just never had that great a chance. She’s one of the best fun-and-sneaky players of the New Era but in both of her seasons, she didn’t get a chance to really use that fully.
While we do not think season 51 will feature any returnees, we honestly would like one more chapter with all three, whether it be 52 or some other point down the road. Maybe the sun rises, to use another metaphor, and they make it all back?
