Is Oliver Platt leaving Chicago Med, and will Dr. Charles die?

Following tonight’s new episode of Chicago Med on NBC, have we seen the end of the road for Oliver Platt as Dr. Daniel Charles?

Well, here is some of what we state at this particular moment in time: Things are not looking too great. Charles suffered a stroke at the end of tonight’s episode and in the promo for what is ahead, we seem high fighting for his life while surrounded by doctors. The good news is that he is still alive; the bad news, however, is that the future is far from certain. This is someone who has gone through a lot and to think, the fear is real he does not make it out of this.

Well, here is what we can say at present: There is no direct evidence that Platt is leaving Chicago Med at this point. However, why would NBC release that information at this point? The simple answer is that they wouldn’t. All will be revealed on the matter next week.

Now that we have said this, we really do not have to say exactly why Oliver is so important to the world of the medical drama, given that there are not many original cast members left. Also, he is such a well-known actor who got a lot of eyeballs on the show from the get-go. If there was a time for him to leave, this could be it given that it would greatly impact everyone at the hospital.

Now if there is one last thing that we have to wonder about, it is this — even if Charles manages to survive, what does it look like? We know that strokes do carry a long recovery period.
