Bridgerton season 5 premiere date: An April 2026 update

Now that we have made it into the start of April, can something more be said regarding Bridgerton season 5 over at Netflix?

First and foremost, it is simply worth noting that the wheels are turning to get the show back sooner than ever before. Production has already kicked off for the period drama’s latest chapter, and we even know who the focus will be on in Francesca and Michaela’s relationship. (This does also mean that Eloise will be the focus of the already-renewed season 6.)

So because some things are progressing faster than we could have imagined, does that mean more is on the horizon soon when it comes to premiere-date news? As great as that would be, the simple answer is no. We are going to be waiting for a while to learn something more there, as the earliest we imagine the show returning is moving into the spring or summer of next year. It still takes a rather long time to film and beyond just that, you have all the post-production, editing, and scoring to do. You don’t want to rush a major hit like this, even if Netflix wants to make sure that you get more than a season every two years.

(For the record, we do think that the turnaround here is a good sign that we will see something similar moving into season 6. We would not take it as a guarantee per se, but it is at least something to keep in mind over the course of the coming months.)

If there is anything more we could learn this spring, it would be tied to casting — it is hard to expect anything more than that.
