Scrubs revival episode 8 spoilers: The last before finale

Next week on ABC you are going to be seeing episode 8 of the Scrubs revival and at this point, we do think it is time to get a little sentimental. We’ve reached the penultimate story of the season and whatever happens from here is sure to carry into the finale.

So what can we say at this point? Well, the title here is “My Odds,” and for JD, he will have a chance to really look at how far he’s come since coming back to the hospital. Dr. Cox put some faith in him as the right guy for the job and so far, that does seem warranted … but are some stumbles coming?

J.D. has finally hit his stride as the new chief of medicine, only to be shaken by an unexpected visit. Meanwhile, Elliot grapples with being a good mentor for the interns while still holding them accountable.

Who is this visitor going to be? Given that John C. McGinley is coming back before the season is over, Dr. Cox is actually a pretty good guess. The story for Elliot, meanwhile, feels more like the natural growth process that we’ve seen for a lot of the season. Much of the original show was about watching these characters find their way as doctors; now, it is about them finding their way as leaders. No matter how much older you get, this is still a reminder that you always have to keep learning.

Now, let’s just cross our fingers here that we also get some more news on a renewal sooner rather than later. Nothing is official as of yet!
