Is Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD new tonight, April 1?
Is Chicago Med new tonight on NBC? To go along with that, what else can we say about both Chicago Fire and Chicago PD? We recognize that last week, all three series were off the air and within that, there could be confusion.
Well, this is where we are happy to share at least a little bit of good news — but there may also be some confusion wedged in here, as well. All three Chicago shows are going to be on the air tonight, but brace for the fact that there is likely going to be a brief break after Med for a Presidential Address at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. Our current belief is that the lineup will pick up immediately after it ends (at least for viewers on the Eastern / Central time zones who are impacted), and you will get a chance to see how some of these stories play out.

Now as for what you can expect to see over the One Chicago lineup, go ahead and take a look at the synopses below…
Chicago Med season 11 episode 16, “The Book of Charles” – 04/01/2026 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : Dr. Charles grapples with his own mental health following a harrowing experience working the suicide prevention line. TV-14
Chicago Fire season 14 episode 16, “Firehouse 66” – Severide is forced to overcome obstacles at the firehouse; Cruz finds himself at a loss amid the new changes in his family.
Chicago PD season 13 episode 16, “Restored” – 04/01/2026 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : Torres tries to stop the cycle of violence after a teenager is killed in an act of revenge. TV-14
By the end of these episodes, it is our hope that we have a lot to think about all three stories — but the Charles one is what is making us most intrigued at present. After all, most current indicators are that Oliver Platt will be in almost all of it.
