Australian Survivor: Redemption episode 18 preview: Yet another reset?

There are so many different things that are worth noting at this point as we look towards Australian Survivor: Redemption episode 18. Where do we start?

Well, after 100 days playing this game, we finally have a fantastic memory with Simon beyond just him being a foil for King George or an immunity threat. He managed to successfully manipulate Jackson into making a move against Ben, someone who he worked with for a certain stretch of the game. Jackson deserves credit for the risk, but it remains to be seen if it is worthwhile. What we will personally say is that if he and Ben were in the final two together we feel strongly that Ben would’ve gotten the bulk of the votes.

So where do things go from here? Well, that is where things start to get a little bit interesting. While Simon and Brooke were able to pull off this move, we are still in a difficult spot. Even if Keeley and Jackson stick with them, that is only four out of eight votes. That isn’t enough to pull anything off. There’s a better chance here that Jackson flips back, knowing that the returnees are still clearly the biggest threat in the game. Keeley has made some big moves and is dangerous as well.

The tricky spot with the newbies

At this point, there are really only three of them we’re invested in: Jackson, Keeley, and Caleb. It is hard to imagine a situation right now where Sally, Loz, or Cameron end up getting a lot of votes at the end of the game. Not only would they need to make some huge moves in order to pull that off, but they would have to do it sooner rather than later — and are they really capable of driving some of the other numbers?
