NCIS: Origins season 2 episode 13 spoilers: Young Ducky returns!

If there is a singular reason to be excited when it comes to NCIS: Origins season 2 episode 13, it revolves around one person: Donald Mallard. Young Ducky is back! If you are watching this show in part for nostalgia, we do honestly treasure every chance Adam Campbell can return.
After all, remember that there are very few actors who have appeared both on the prequel and the original show as the same character, at least outside of that crossover that made it happen in some pretty unique ways. We’ve known that Ducky and Gibbs have had a long-term history and this show allows for exploration of that.

“Homeward Bound” – When Dr. Tango (Julian Black Antelope) is arrested for stealing human remains from a national park, Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard (Adam Campbell) returns to assist the team in proving his innocence, on NCIS: ORIGINS, Tuesday, March 31 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.
Obviously, the reason for Ducky’s appearance is important within itself, as he is one of those characters who has a unique-enough skill set that he can help in a wide array of different circumstances. You can’t pin him down to just a singular thing and there is a great deal of fun in watching him react and take on challenges. Also, we do think that for a younger Gibbs, there is a lot of alue in him learning to work with a wide array of people. It makes him a much better agent far into the future.
