‘The Voice’ UK: Sir Tom Jones unsure about return following Jessie J exit

The VoiceCould we see a game of musical spinning chairs on “The Voice” UK soon? With the announcement of there being some more changes on the judging panel, you do have to wonder whether or not we could have two or even three new faces on the show in the new year.

First, there was the news that broke out earlier this weekend that Jessie J was going to be signing off of the series in order to focus more on her music career; and now, Tom Jones is also questioning whether or not he will be doing the same. In an interview per Tabloid!, the “She’s a Lady” singer explained that in some ways, he viewed his future on the show to be tied to at least one of his fellow judges:

“Last time, Jessie and I said, ‘I will if you will’ [return] and we did it again this time. So I don’t know. I’d have to really think about [returning]. I get on really well with Jessie.”

The other wrinkle in having Tom on the show is that more so than perhaps any singing-competition judge / coach ever, he really doesn’t need the publicity. He’s still going to get gigs all around the world, and he’s still going to sell millions of albums. That’s sort of what happens when you reach knighthood / living legend status.

What do you think: Should Sir Tom stay on board the series for a while longer, or is he really better off in your eyes going somewhere new? We want to hear some of your thoughts below! If you want to read more news about Jessie’s exit and other subjects, our suggestion is to head on over to the link here.
