Chicago Fire season 14 episode 16 promo: Captain Severide?
When it comes to Chicago Fire season 14 episode 16 over at NBC, the bad news is reasonably clear: We are going to be waiting a while to see what is next. After all, the plan is for the next installment to air on April 1.
With that being said, is there a clear reason to be excited? For those of you who do love Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide, it feels like the answer to that is pretty darn clear. What we have coming up here is a great opportunity to explore more sides of this character, especially as he contends with trying to fill the role as Captain. Can he really do it? We know that he has the capabilities to pull it off at this particular moment in time, but there are also still concerns.

If you head over to the link here right now, you can see the latest promo, which does a decent job of mapping out some of what you can expect from here. Kelly’s history of not following the letter of the law in every situation is coming into question, and he may have to convince people over time that he is right for the gig. This honestly feels like a path that could easily carry forward the rest of the season and if there was also a reason to eventually bring Boden back for an episode or two, this could easily be it.
Ultimately, let’s just hope that we get a real emotional arc here full of various highs and lows — and we do certainly think that there could be room for a few different surprises in regards to some of the other stories, as well.
