Is The Bachelorette new tonight on ABC, March 22, 2026?

Is The Bachelorette new tonight on ABC? Well, one week ago it was directly told to viewers that Taylor Frankie Paul’s season would begin … but we now have some bad news. A lot can change within a week.
As of right now, there is no clear indication that this season will never now see the light of day; the network canceled the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star’s premiere following a video surfacing of a past incident regarding her and her ex Dakota, and that even came on the heels of other recent allegations regarding the two. Some of Paul’s past history was well-documented long before she was ever cast as the lead for the dating show, but producers went ahead with the casting, clearly in the hopes that she could inject some discussion into a format that had grown stale. Now, everything remains up in the air.

We recognize that there are a myriad of different stories that are out there about the future of the season, the alleged frustrations of Taylor’s cast, to even if there will be more Bachelor in Paradise. ABC has yet to say much of anything on any of this. They still have promos from this season online, which is a sign that they may be riding the controversy out and then choosing to air it at a later date. Will viewers accept that? This is an entirely different story and one that is somewhat difficult to figure out.
Personally, we do tend to think that the network and everyone involved here really just has to figure out what sort of show they want to present here — and that includes casting. Sure, you want there to be drama, but at the end of the day, we do legitimately believe that viewers are watching and hoping for a real love story.
