Outer Banks season 5 premiere date: A spring 2026 update

Is there a chance that we are going to hear more about Outer Banks season 5 between now and the end of the spring? On some level, there is a case to be made for it.

Where do we begin here? Well, the answer to this is rather simple, and also tied to the fact that filming has been done for the Chase Stokes – Madelyn Cline series for a little while. We imagine that the producers are deep into post-production on the Netflix hit’s final chapter, eager to get it out as soon as possible.

So is there an actual chance that we see it before the spring wraps up? From where we sit, that feels unlikely and for one simple reason: The streaming service likes to give a lot of runaway to some of their biggest hits, and we would be shocked if they were to announce a date and just have Outer Banks arrive a month or a month and a half later. We suppose it is possible that the first part of it premieres in early June and that’s it.

In general, our feeling is that the show will premiere at some point this summer, and the best-case scenario here is that we do get a chance to see a date revealed this spring. That will give us something more to be excited about and beyond that, ample time for the series to set the stage for what could be an emotional end. There are sure to be a lot of tear-jerkers in the wake of JJ’s death, but there is still a lot to look forward to in between constant action, exciting adventures, and John B. and Sarah doing whatever they can to better figure out their future.
