The Madison season 1 episode 6 (finale): Will Stacy be okay?

We knew entering The Madison season 1 episode 6 on Paramount+ that there were going to be some really emotional moments, and for good reason. This was the finale! How could we not get some legitimate tear-jerkers?
What we ultimately saw here was a situation where for a little while, there was some legitimate concern for the safety of Michelle Pfeiffer’s character of Stacy. After all, we saw her in a spot in the finale where she was at Preston’s grave with a gun, but it does turn out that there is no immediate cause for concern there. However, does this mean that she will make it through okay in season 2? Hardly.

After all, one of the big things that we do have to acknowledge at this point is that Stacy is still somehow consumed with grief, which certainly makes sense given that this has been one of the central themes of the show from the get-go. This is a woman still working in order to figure out who she is following the loss of the love her life — hence the time in therapy, or the journey out to Montana to find something totally new and different.
We of course would’ve loved more time to get to know all the supporting characters who constitute the show, but this is yet again your reminder that The Madison season 2 is still coming. There is a lot of time in order to explore almost every avenue here, and that allows us to move away from the finale still feeling reasonably optimistic for whatever the future could be here.
