IT: Welcome to Derry season 2 renewal: A spring 2026 update
Is there a chance we are going to hear more about an IT: Welcome to Derry season 2 renewal before the end of the spring?
Of course, we do tend to think that the top story at this point remains the oh-so-simple fact that the series feels like a slam dunk to come back, but for whatever reason, HBO has not made that official. Is that confusing? On some level yes, but then you dig a little bit more into the reasoning. Based at least on what we have heard so far, the only reason there is not more information out there is because the network and the producers want to nail the story first.

With everything that we’ve lined up above in mind, we do believe that it is close to a foregone conclusion that you are going to learn more about Welcome to Derry season 2 before the spring is over and there is no immediate cause for concern. After all, the early this news is thrown out there, the more possible it is that we could see the second season at some point before 2027 is done. (For now, late that year remains the most likely window.)
What will the story for next season look like?
Well, a lot of it should begin with an opportunity to dive even further into the past, as we will be jumping back to the Pennywise cycle in the 1930’s. However, as the season 1 finale gives away, the entity may actually have knowledge of the future even if that era — with their final goal being discovering yet another way to ensure that they do not eventually meet their demise.
