Scrubs revival episode 6 spoilers: Elliot’s new romance?

Next week on the Scrubs revival, it seems as though the show is going to continue navigating one key question over all others — what does romance look like for some of these characters now that they’re older? JD is trying to figure out dating in a post-divorce world, and maybe on what we are hearing about “My VIP” next week, the same could be said for Elliot Reid.

Obviously, this is something that requires a lot more work than it did several years ago. You have to think about people beyond just yourself, and that is without considering the career ramifications, as well. It can be a little bit complicated, but isn’t that also a part of what makes this new version exciting? So much of the original was about watching some of these main characters move forward as though they had little to lose. The parameters of their lives have changed! There is clearly no escaping that.

J.D. and Dr. Park are forced to work together when a member of the hospital board experiences a mysterious health crisis. Turk helps Elliot navigate a newfound romance, while the interns practice vulnerability with patients.

As we prepare to see this episode, one other thing that we are certainly excited to learn more about is whether or not we are getting a season 2 renewal. It feels like the producers and cast are eager to do more, and ABC has signaled on some level an interest in bringing it back. With all of this in mind, why wait? The earlier you issue the order, the more incentive people have to get invested in what is directly in front of them.
