IT: Welcome to Derry season 2 premiere date: March 2026 update
Is there a chance we are going to hear something more about an IT: Welcome to Derry season 2 between now and the end of March? Of course, it makes all the sense in the world to want it. However, here is where we do have to throw in the not-so-great reminder that HBO has yet to technically even renew it!
With that being said, we do think we have reached a point now where the next chapter is as close to a sure thing as you are ever going to find. Most producers out there are speaking of it with the utmost certainty and with that in mind, we have to feel more than a little bit confident that it is going to be coming back for more … and that of course then leads into the questions as to when it is going to come back.

It is fairly obvious to say at this point that the odds of us getting firm premiere-date news this year are nonexistent, let alone news this month. HBO has to issue the renewal first and then after that, filming has to start and new cast members need to be announced. After all, we do need to collectively remember for a moment here that there are going to be so many new cast members as a result of the horror drama shifting back to a new era.
At this point, we will consider ourselves lucky to dive back into Derry in the fall of 2027. We do think that, for obvious reasons, it makes the most sense to premiere the show around Halloween. That is, after all, when it can get the most ratings support.
