The Lincoln Lawyer season 5 premiere date: The worst-case scenario

If you are like us at this point, then you are probably pretty darn eager already to see The Lincoln Lawyer season 5 over at Netflix. How can you not be, especially with us having a chance to see Cobie Smulders in a larger role?

So far, almost everything that we’ve heard on the future of the series has been rather positive and then some. Take, for starters, the fact that we got the renewal before the fourth season even aired. Also, we’ve got filming happening throughout a good chunk of the year. Everything, at least at the moment, seems to indicate that the folks at the streaming service want it back sooner rather than later.

With everything we’ve said here in mind, our hope here remains that you are going to see The Lincoln Lawyer back on Netflix within the winter or spring of next year — but what is the worst-case scenario here? Probably next summer, but the only reason we foresee us waiting that long is if the streaming service is just spacing out a lot of their releases. The show should be ready long before then and there are very few reasons to just have it off sitting on a shelf.

In general, though, the idea that a worst-case scenario is a season premiering 18 months after a previous one is not that bad. Just remember the simple fact that Netflix has a ton of other shows right now that we are forced to wait a really long time for, whether it be Wednesday, 3 Body Problem, or many others. Stranger Things had some of the longest release cycles out of any show out there.
