Call the Midwife season 16 premiere date hopes at BBC One
Given that tonight marks the big Call the Midwife season 15 finale on BBC One, we do not blame anyone who wants more news on season 16.
However, this is where we do have to emerge here with the rather sad reminder that if you are eager for more news, you will have to be patient — there is not much set to be coming anytime soon. Remember that the next thing coming in this universe is actually a prequel, one that will allow to see more of the super-early days of Poplar and this particular brand of care. That will begin as early as this Christmas — after that, you will eventually see a feature film that takes place after the events of season 16.

So when we are talking about a Call the Midwife season 16 premiere date, it feels like we will be waiting until 2028 and perhaps even longer. Many producers have already said that this is going to allow the series a chance to reset a little bit. We do think that we are going to be seeing a different sort of Poplar than ever before — and also characters in different places.
No matter the setting or the cast, we do tend to think that the major focus of the show is going to be the same — uplifting stories of mothers in need and the people who are working in order to help them. You will likely laugh at times and certainly cry at others.
How many more seasons could the show last?
Well, there is still no real limit to it — based at least on how popular the series has been.
