Next week on Starz you are going to have a chance to dive head-first into Outlander season 8 episode 2 — so how will the final season continue?

Well, because the producers are for the first time really dealing with a ticking clock, one thing is perhaps more clear than it has ever been before: Economy really matters. You have to make every single story from here on out notable, and that means having a lot of significant events in a short amount of time. We’re well-aware of just how emotional this show has made people over the years — and moving into “Prophecies” coming up in just seven days, that is not going to change.

When a violent tragedy shakes the Ridge, the Frasers must lean on their new tenants to make the community whole again.

In the end, our general feeling here is that we will see a lot of people rally together and for good reason. They have to band together, mostly because this is a world where more tragedies could happen — just consider the era, or the fact that there have been so many sad events on the show already.

Let us conclude this preview with yet another reminder here that this is the first season that the show will be ahead of the books at times. By virtue of that, we are all sitting in the dark, waiting to see just how the Caitriona Balfe – Sam Heughan show is going to conclude. It has been a wonderful ride and by virtue of that, we’re going to cherish every moment.
