If you were not excited enough about The Gilded Age season 4 on HBO, just go ahead and know this: Filming is on the horizon! There is no better time, as a result of that, to get into potential premiere-date scenarios than right now.

First and foremost, here is your reminder that this show is one that the network will do the utmost to ensure the quality remains there. They will not rush it, and that is one of the reasons we do not imagine it back this calendar year. Even if it does have less of a post-production window than an effects-laden spectacle like The Last of Us, it does still take time to put together with the elaborate costumes and scenes that require a good many people.

From where we sit, the best-case scenario for The Gilded Age is that it leads off HBO’s roster of shows in 2027. It is going to be a really exciting year for the network coming up, given that in the months to come, new seasons of The White Lotus, The Last of Us, and True Detective are all meant to start filming. That is without even mentioning A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 2 (which is already in the works). There are other shows like Task and IT: Welcome to Derry that could come back next year, but it is far too early to say.

Out of a lot of the programs listed, we tend to think that the Christine Baranski – Cynthia Nixon show will be ready to air before many of them, with the exception being Kingdoms and that is a show that can air alongside one of them. We hope that more premiere-date news for season 4 is revealed at the end of the year, if for no other reason to give us something more specific to be excited about.
