‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Carly Rose Sonenclar, Emblem3, Nicole Scherzinger

Want to celebrate all things Carly Rose Sonenclar? We have a feeling that you’re not alone, but you are going to be forced into waiting at least a little while in order to do so. The “X Factor” USA alum is going to be performing tonight at Universal CityWalk, and we’ll have some videos up as soon as the performance is over and some hit the internet. (Update: Check out Carly performing Selena Gomez’s “Come and Get It” below.)

In addition to that, we have the same sort of thing to report now from the guys from Emblem3. The group is in Kansas tonight in order to perform at the Red, White, and Boom event sponsored by a local radio station, and hopefully, this will allow them yet another opportunity to expand their own fan following. While Carly is just now starting to hit the concert circuit hard following her year in school, these guys have been at it more or less ever since their time on “The X Factor” first came to a close.

 

 

UK news – Finally, we’ll close here with a story courtesy of The Sun, who reports that Nicole Scherzinger has actually been able to make headlines following her recent split from Lewis Hamilton in an unusual place: The auditions for the British version of the show.

According to The Sun, after a contestant showed up at the show and performed a classic breakup track, the former Pussycat Dolls frontman handed down this critique:

“It pulled on my heartstrings. It sucks doesn’t it? Really sucks … It’s so depressing but it’s so good. I would buy your album.”
