‘Luther’ season 3 spoilers: First look at episode 2
Did you enjoy the premiere of BBC’s “Luther” on Tuesday night? We hope so, since the network is already out to try and scoop you on everything that is coming up moving forward with episode 2. Some of the storylines are going to advance in unusual ways, and we’re also going to see the age-old example of a romance cut short due to someone having go back to work.
With that in mind, let’s present you first of all with some opening lines courtesy of the network’s official press release:
“Luther’s date with Mary and the promise of romance is interrupted by the news of another murder. The killer has struck again; the number of victims is escalating and fast … Faced with the repercussions of their public disagreement, Luther orders Ripley to investigate the Jared Cass murder on his own. Meanwhile, he throws himself into a mountain of cold case files, determined to connect the past and present in order to predict the fetishist’s next move.”
The suggestion is made that Ripley is going to have to make a key decision during this episode: Either accept some of Luther’s unconventional police methods, or go about work as to his own discretion. The episode is going to end with an epic duel after Luther discovers that this case is much more complicated than was first believed. (Is there any other kind of case than the complicated ones?)
