Saturday Night Live: Teyana Taylor, Alexander Skarsgard hosting

January 17 is going to mark the return of Saturday Night Live with Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard coming on board to host. So what is coming up after the fact?
Well, today the folks at NBC announced the lineup for the remainder of January, which gives us a good sense as to how the late-night show is setting the stage before what could be a break for the Winter Olympics.

First and foremost, let’s start with January 24, which is going to be hosted by none other than Teyana Taylor, best known for her work in One Battle After Another. (She is also a part of All’s Fair, which premiered this past fall on Hulu.) She will be joined here by musical guest Geese, and this will be a great opportunity for her to do something totally different from what we’ve seen from her as of late.
Meanwhile, over on January 31, we are going to be seeing former True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard (more recently of Murderbot fame) taking on the gig with Cardi B serving as the musical guest. Catering sketches for him should be really fun because not only have we seen comedic chops from him, but you can do some physical stuff given that he’s so much taller than most of anyone who is regularly a part of the show.
We do imagine that there is going to be some sort of transition now that Bowen Yang has departed the show; yet, this could be a chance to see a few other people step up to the plate and show what they are capable of doing. Ashley Padilla is someone who received a lot of screen time in the fall relative to her time on the show, and we tend to think that will remain the case moving forward.
