Virgin River season 7 premiere date: A January 2026 update

Is there a chance that we’re going to hear more about Virgin River season 7 between now and the end of January, a premiere date included?

At this point, it honestly does feel easy to argue that the answer is yes, and for a number of different reasons. Take, for starters, the rather simple fact that production on this batch of episodes has been done for a while. Not only that, but it has been more than a year now since Netflix has aired a season! We recognize that for some effects-heavy shows like a Wednesday, that may not be that long a time. However, the Alexandra Breckenridge – Martin Henderson drama is different. This is not a show that requires a lot of post-production in the same way and can be turned around rather fast.

What we are getting at here is relatively simple: At this point, it would honestly be a surprise if we were to not get any Virgin River news before January is over. We do not think the show will actually premiere at this point until late February or March, but Netflix can at least get the ball rolling with a little bit of promotion. This is a series that does still latter to them a great deal, which is one of the reasons why they have already ordered a season 8.

What will the story be about?

We have noted this in the past, but there are really two separate storylines we expect the writers to take on right away. First and foremost, you have the question of what is going to happen to Charmaine following the cliffhanger. From there, what are Mel and Jack going to decide when it comes to expanding their family? This show continues to combine relatable scenarios with others that are dramatic and stunning, and finding the right balance moving forward will be key.
