Poker Face season 3: HBO Max boss talks early considerations

Is there a chance that Poker Face season 3 could eventually find its way over to HBO Max? Let’s just say that at least for now, there is a chance.

One of the things that we would imagine is attractive immediately about picking up this show is quite simple: The promise of working again with Peter Dinklage. He won countless awards for playing Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones, and this would be a chance for him to do something here as Charlie Cale that would prove to be incredibly fun. At the same time, we tend to think that Rian Johnson is the sort of filmmaker / producer that a lot of companies want around.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO / HBO Max head Casey Bloys had the following to say

“We heard the original take … and when I heard that Peacock wasn’t moving forward, we were curious. So we’ve had conversations, but I don’t know which way it’ll go. But I think Rian is a fantastic filmmaker, and I love the idea of Peter Dinklage, but I have nothing to report on that.”

At the moment, we do tend to think that this is a process that could take a lot of months to properly shake out. Creatively, we tend to think that it is a no-brainer that the series could be coming back for another chapter. Because of that, we do tend to think that it all comes down to money — and that is a harder equation to figure out sometimes than almost anyone would want to admit. We just know that for us personally, the idea of Peter Dinklage in this world is next-level awesome and it would be a thrill to see it happen.
