There are a number of intriguing shows coming on the air this fall, but doesn’t Pluribus take the cake as one of the best?

Well, on paper, it is pretty easy to argue that this could be the most exciting of almost any show that we have a chance to see coming up. We are, after all, talking about the epic return of Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan to TV, and with a show that may harken back to some of the science-fiction storytelling that we had a chance to see back on The X-Files when he was there. This also features Better Call Saul alum Rhea Seehorn in the lead role, though for a long time, Apple TV+ has done a good job of keeping the finer details under wraps.

Just remember that for most of the past few months, the only thing officially known about Pluribus was the official logline:

The most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.

Now, that has somewhat changed. If you head over to the link here, you can see a teaser that at least sheds some light as to what the story could be, and at least demonstrates further the bizarre situations that Carol (Seehorn) finds herself in. Is she a hero? Is she suffering some sort of mental break? While this show may have these sci-fi elements to it, a lot of what we’re seeing right now tends to suggest that it will still focus on humanity first and foremost. This is going to be mostly character-driven, and not so much obsessed with various sci-fi terms that could limit its accessibility.

The premiere of Pluribus is coming on November 7 — we are sure that more insight is going to come in before then but at the same time, there is really no rush.
