2013 BET Awards: Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, and Gabby Douglas among winners
On Sunday night, the BET Awards made it their priority to honor some of the best that the network’s world of entertainment had to offer. The were performances, funny moments, and of course a score of worthy winners that crossed a variety of different categories.

Male Pop / R&B Artist – Miguel, otherwise known as the total “it boy” of the entertainment world right now following up his appearance at the Grammys.
Best New Artist – Kendrick Lamar, who has also made waves in the rap community.
YoungStars Award – Gabby Douglas, the famed gymnast who won people over during the Olympics. (She also won an award pertaining to athletics.)
Subway Sportsman Award – LeBron James, who is winning everything right now.
Gospel Artist – Mary Mary, who have been doing their thing for some time now.
Best Actor – Jamie Foxx
Best Female Hip-Hop Artist – Nicki Minaj, who seems in this modern age of hip-hop to be deemed worthy of winning every single major award that she can possibly come into contact with.
Best Male Hip-Hop Artist – Kendrick Lamar
Lifetime Achievement Award – Charlie Wilson
Humanitarian Award – Dwyane Wade, who joins LeBron James in having quite a bit to celebrate right about now.
Best Collaboration – A$AP Rocky f/ Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar, “Problems”
