‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ preview: Heather Dubrow’s big announcement
Monday night’s “Real Housewives of Orange County” is (at least in theory) supposed to be all about Tamra Barney trying to prepare for her upcoming wedding to Eddie Judge. However (and as seems to be the tradition more often than not when it comes to this show), the conversation ended up being hijacked.
So what are we talking about here specifically? In addition to Vicki Gunvalson running into another massive heap of drama when it comes to her relationship with Brooks, and some allegations against him that a former cast member in Lauri brings up, we also find out that Heather Dubrow has been offered a potentially-recurring role on the ABC comedy “Malibu Country.” But while Heather’s role on “Hot in Cleveland” was able to be integrated into the show for brilliant cross-promotion, she and the show cannot do so to the same extent here, given that “Malibu Country” is already dead and buried on the network.
The one advantage of this? We already know everything that happened when it came to Heather’s role on “Malibu Country” while watching her reality show. Her role as Brooke ended up only being for one episode, though it could have been more had ABC brought the show back for more or extended the episode count for its first season. Another fun fact: This and “Malibu Country” are the only two shows in which Heather is credited as “Heather Dubrow” rather than “Heather Paige Kent.”
The sneak peek for Monday night’s episode ends with Gretchen Rossi’s name being brought into the conversation about the role, and to us this only means one thing: There will be some drama coming in our direction pretty soon.
Did you actually catch Heather on “Malibu Country,” and what did you think? If you want to watch all of the drama unfold when it comes to the Vicki situation, we have that “Real Housewives of Orange County” peek for you here.
