NBC’s ‘Revolution’ season 2: Tracy Spiridakos lands offseason ‘Episodes’ role
We know what Tracy Spiridakos is planning to do for at least part of her summer vacation away from “Revolution”: Continue acting, albeit for another show.
According to a report from Zap2It, the actress has signed on to appear in one episode of “Episodes” on Showtime as a family member of Morning Randolph, the sex-obsessed actress played by recent “Hart of Dixie” guest star Mircea Monroe. It’s a chance for Tracy to expand into a little bit more comedy, and also show off a completely different side of abilities. She was not particularly well-known at the time of her “Revolution” casting, though she does have a little bit of comedy experience courtesy of “Majority Rules!”, a comedy that ran for a season in her home country of Canada.
“Revolution” season 2 production should kick off next month in Austin (a move from its previous location in North Carolina), and while there is no confirmation just yet on a premiere date, we’re leaning towards something around Wednesday, September 25. As for “Episodes,” the Matt LeBlanc series is going to be off the air for quite a while longer. Sadly, you will not see its third season until 2014, as this is one show in particular that likes to take its time between making new seasons. (Then again, it’s not like LeBlanc needs to rush given the piles of money he still has from “Friends.”)
After being so maligned at times for her Charlie character that really does not have that much depth, are you excited for an opportunity to see what Spiridakos can do with a completely different sort of role?
