‘The Walking Dead’s’ Lauren Cohan, ‘Vampire Diaries” Candice Accola: ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ peek

Who says that you have to see all of your favorite TV stars be dramatic all of the time? For those of you who are either nostalgic or want to enjoy something new and exciting, we have it for you courtesy of The CW’s revival of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, which premieres on July 16.

When we first found out about the show coming back, and that so were Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles, we were a mixture of excited and ambivalent. From a personal standpoint, we love these guys! However, none of them really apply to The CW’s core demographics.

This is apparently where some of the celebrity guest stars come into play. In the new promo below, “Glee’s” Kevin McHale, “The Walking Dead’s” Lauren Cohan, and Candice Accola of “The Vampire Diaries” are all invited onstage to take part in at least one sketch. Whatever is happening to Accola seems to be the most entertaining, since she is being flung around in the air.

As for how these three celebrities perform in some of these sketches, we are still very excited to find out. While they all have impressive resumes, none of them are necessarily known as being experts in improv comedy. They’re not going to have the same sort of experience as the three veterans, but the good news is that they’re all naturally funny and willing to go along with everything that the show throws at them. (If only “Saturday Night Live” would follow this model a little bit more when selecting their hosts.)
