‘Unforgettable’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Spartacus’ alum to double for Poppy Montgomery
Remember “Unforgettable“? We hope so, since it would otherwise be very tragic that the show has the title that it does. The crime procedural is returning to CBS after more than a year off on July 28, where it will start to run its new episodes leading up to the fall season.
We now know for sure one person who is going to be stopping by for what will be an unforgettable (sorry, we couldn’t resist) guest appearance. According to a report from TVLine, Erin Cummings, who played the title character’s wife on “Spartacus: War of the Damned,” has been cast to play a thief on an upcoming episode with the awesome name of Eve Steele. The twist? She bears a very strong resemblance to Poppy Montgomery’s character of Carrie Wells. (As an aside, why are there so many leading characters on TV named “Carrie” these days?)
While this gig may be a brief one, it will hopefully help to keep things fresh on what could be a pretty exciting season of TV. CBS un-canceled “Unforgettable” in hopes that it, alongside “Under the Dome” and the new season of “Big Brother 15,” will actually make sure that their summer lineup is strong. As for whether or not this ends up working, we will know for sure in just over a month. (It definitely can’t get any worse than what happened last year.)
What do you think about this casting news, and are you excited to see “Unforgettable” back on the air after an eternity off? If you want to see what alum from “The Walking Dead” has signed on to the show this year, all you have to do is click here.
