‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ review: Gretchen Rossi, Heather Dubrow left out
There are really only so many ways that we can describe the new episode of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” that aired on Bravo Monday night, but one of the primary ways is pretty simple: It was basically what happens every time someone has a bachelor / bachelorette party in an unusual locale. There are some interesting adventures, some funny moments, but at the end of the day, everyone ends up getting very upset over something.
So basically, a good half of this episode was spent watching Gretchen Rossi and Heather Dubrow freak out to some degree about being shafted at a bachelorette party in Mexico. Lydia McLaughlin, Tamra Barney, and Vicki Gunvalson all ditched them in order to do some crazy partying, and they (mainly Gretchen) will not let it go. There were fights and shouting matches, and nothing really came to a head until Gretchen had things back under control with her planned event.
With that, we have to give a little bit of love to the unintentionally-funny moment of the week: Gretchen giving the other ladies what were effectively goodie bags for the weekend … which contained her own products. Well, if there’s a way to get your stuff on TV, then why not?
Then, there were male dancers to close things off, just because people love to see conservative Lydia squirm. Almost everything in here was pretty crazy / predictable, but we also have to admit that it was entertaining in an utter train-wreck kind of way. We just can’t believe that after this, you’re still going to be waiting months to see the actual wedding.
