‘Suits’ season 3 spoilers: USA drama lands ‘Game of Thrones’ star Michelle Fairley
What we are here to do instead is talk a little bit about the actress’ new role away from the HBO series, and it’s a pretty significant departure from the fantasy world devised by George R.R. Martin. According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, the actress has landed a recurring role on “Suits” season 3, where she will be playing British oil tycoon Ava Hessington. Her first appearance is going to come during the season premiere airing on July 16.
Now, we say SPOILER ALERT to anyone who has not watched “Game of Thrones” yet…
Given that USA has known about this casting for quite along time, the network was rather kind to conceal Fairley’s part on the show, as they could have leaked it weeks ago and spoiled something terrible for viewers who have not heard the words “Red Wedding” before Sunday night. We almost wish that whoever cast Richard Madden in some upcoming movies had shown the same sort of courtesy.
Should “Game of Thrones” choose to use Fairley for anything else in the future, it’s possible that she could be able to pull double-duty, given that she is not a “Suits” series regular. It’s also not clear how many years her contract for the HBO series is for.
For now, what do you make about this casting? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! If you want to read more news on the “Suits” story ahead, you can do so over here.
