‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ review: Tamra Barney gets emotional
Without looking at the previews for next week’s “Real Housewives of Orange County” episode, we have to say that for now, the ladies actually to seem to be behaving themselves to a certain extent. Was there still a little bit of drama? Sure, but it actually felt a little more geared towards some of the women’s loved ones than each other.
First of all, we had Heather Dubrow and Terry finally coming to terms with each other about the issues in their latest fight. This could not have been an easy thing to do, but Terry really put forth the effort in creating a good apology. This is nice, since the last thing that we want to see at this point is yet another divorce related to this franchise.
Meanwhile there was more conflict between Lydia McLaughlin and her mother over her mom’s drug use, and Slade Smiley and Gretchen Rossi spent some time trying to weigh their options when it comes to having more children.
While all of these stories were interesting in their own way, we have to be honest here and say that the story that almost everyone is going to be talking about moving beyond this episode is what Tamra Barney had to say while at a Woman’s Expo. Do we believe her story? While there were probably a few theatrics thrown in here, we prefer to be optimistic here and think that this was a great way for her to inspire other woman, mostly because the alternative would be incredibly depressing. This could not have been an easy story for her to tell, after all.
