‘Dancing with the Stars 16’ results: Did Ingo Rademacher shock his way into finale?
There was not much drama going into Tuesday’s “Dancing with the Stars” elimination episode, mostly because there was really just one expectation that everyone had: Ingo Rademacher was going home. Anything else was cause for revolt.
In truth, we really like Ingo, and came to know him pretty well after roasting him early on as a guy just destined to make it far thanks to the soap vote. He had fun, improved a lot throughout the season, and may have endeared himself well to casting agents out there looking for him to do something other than a soap opera.
We like to check out Twitter sometimes while writing this, and the conspiracy theories were burning big when Zendaya was placed “in jeopardy.” Why? Nobody genuinely believed that there was any sort of danger here, and this was just the producers yet again manipulating themselves into the game to get their Disney darling to win. With Jacoby Jones and Aly Raisman both in to the finale, it was Ingo left standing with Zendaya at the end of the episode … which, in our mind, caused the upcoming results to feel even more predictable than ever.
So were we wrong, and was there some sort of jaw-dropping shock elimination that had the audience rudely booing? Not exactly. Ingo and Kym Johnson did leave, and now we are sure that the Zendaya theorists are really going to put on their tinfoil hats and start screaming at their TVs.
What did you think about this episode? If you want to know something crazy, this was the last regular results show we’ll be seeing for a while. “Dancing with the Stars” will be moving to once a week beginning in the fall.
