Gen V season 1 episode 5: What’s with the blackouts?
So what more can we say about this right now? Well, speaking to TV Insider in a new interview, executive producer Michele Fazekas notes that there is a lot of story still to tell when it comes to these:
“Part of it is, ‘What is a superhero version of having a blackout drunk night?’ And as soon as Golden Boy dies in the pilot, it sets off this mystery, and it’s like that’s the first sort of layer of the onion that we’re peeling back … As they get closer to the truth, whoever is trying to hide the truth is going to try and stop them and go to greater and greater lengths to stop them.
“I think the audience will know this isn’t just, they got s–t-faced and don’t remember. Someone is trying to stop them from figuring out the truth.”
Of course, eventually trying to stop these characters is not going to be easy if they stay unified. Marie, Emma, Andre, Jordan, and Sam collectively all have really interesting powers and the more that they can work together, the more interesting some of the final results could be. Rest assured, we are very much curious with whatever the future will hold and how it ties into the flagship show The Boys.
Also, it is still incredibly weird to sit back and note that we are already at the halfway point of the season. How in the world has everything moved so fast? Well, we wish that there was more of a precise answer to that right now.
